New players always welcome--recorders, baroque flutes and strings, and early loud winds. If you are new to BRS, your first meeting is a free trial. See the BRS website for details about our ensembles, membership options, and directions.

Alkemie Medieval Ensemble
Cyprus 1400: An Island at the Crossroad of Cultures
Friday October 25, 8:00PM at Weston Congregational Church, 130 Newton St., Weston, plus additional performances 
Alkemie Medieval Ensemble voyages to Cyprus, island crossroads of French, Greek, Armenian, Italian, and Ottoman influences. Their program explores the complex ars subtilior melodies of the Torino manuscript and rousing folk tunes from the area.
$35/$30 seniors/$10 students

The Corners of the Moon: Uncanny Music for Hallowmas
Sunday October 27 and Monday October 28
5:00PM Church of St. Andrew, 135 aturday March 9, 3:00PM  
Spooky music of 17th-c. England depicting ghost encounters, witches' dances, fantastic beasts and more. Works by Campion, Picforth, Byrd, Lawes, and ballads about fairy mayhem, mad Tom o' Bedlam, and the antics of Robin Goodfellow.
Sunday: 5:00PM at Church of St. Andrew, 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead MA
Monday: 7:30PM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 9 Russell Ave., Watertown MA
